DPS Tactical Grenade systems were developed for corrections, law enforcement, and tactical applications where rapid OC aerosol deployment in confined environments was required.
Designed for Real World Deployment
The DPS Pocket Mini Grenade platform was originally developed to provide rapid OC aerosol saturation in situations where direct entry may be dangerous, delayed, or compromised by a high threat environment.
Applications included corrections cell extraction operations, barricaded subject situations, confined area contamination, tactical team deployment, and other professional use environments where immediate aerosol coverage was required.
The compact 2 oz design allowed the unit to be easily carried while still delivering aggressive aerosol dispersion in a short period of time.

Earlier DPS grenade systems also incorporated specialized internal delivery system designs intended to improve can evacuation after deployment when landing on the unit's side.
Current Redevelopment Status
DPS Tactical Grenade systems are currently under redevelopment and are not available for sale at this time.
The next generation DPS grenade platform is being redesigned around modern BOV (Bag On Valve) technology to improve deployment consistency, orientation independent discharge, and full can evacuation regardless of landing position.
This updated system is intended to significantly improve reliability and operational performance compared to older weighted dip tube style aerosol systems.
